# Web Development in 2024?

You're probably one of those people out there who's stumbled on the idea that web development is for you.  
You're neither wrong neither "not" right but safe bet is that you are in safe hands.

My name is Wachira Nduati and to my name is a bit over 7 years experience in software development.

The internet happens to have amazing resources to take you through this but, well there are things that you only get to learn the hard way.

My intent with this series is to take you, who'm I'll assume is an extremely green newbie, from zero to hero. These particular Web development series will be for the typical non techie looking to grow a skill the right way.

To make this a lot more informed, the series will go over 3 different roadmaps summarising between them with a bit of background on the best resource out there, Freecodecamp.

To every single chapter will be a challenge to test your skillset and really see how far we are. A parallel series is running on Medium for Android developers that is meant to do the same for would be interested mobile app developers.

Our full approach will be extremely biased on the mistakes that I made in my journey to. My intent is saving you all the time of having to discover things either "accidentally" or realize that you've been doing things the wrong way.

Towards this, we will follow a rather simple roadmap compiled from two different sources. The next page should dive in deeper into what the roadmap exactly entails for this.
